The Rebels put five goals past the Maroons' goalkeeper on Thursday, with the Maroons themselves scoring two own goals for the Rebels. With one more game to go in the regular season, the Rebels will find out soon how they fare in the playoffs. The Rebels were forced into another default this Thursday but confidently beat the Cougars in the ensuing scratch match. It was generally agreed upon by the Rebels that Irfaan was to blame for their forfeit. However, despite the long list of absentees the Rebels played well. Gregg found security behind a face shield and recorded a shut-out in net. The Rebels also saw "The Return of the Max" from Scotland and young D.J. Waller in the crowd. The excitement proved all too much for D.J. as he slept peacefully through the entire game.

Despite missing some of their key players, the Rebels dismantled the Warriors this Thursday night with some fine passing. An Ahmed hat-trick had the crowd (the injured Nessie) going crazy as the boys and girls in purple racked up a high score and sent Jess back to the Golden Bears with a shut-out. After the game it was over to the Kilkenny for some refreshments and chicken wings as hot as the Rebel's current form!

The lights went out at the UofC turf after the game

Bryan most likely comes to field hockey to escape the little atomic bomb that has gone off in his house, but this Thursday he got no reprieve from little terrors as the Maroons' 4'2" forward caused him problems all night. Just like the colours of the teams' uniforms, the game was close and at times indistinct in what was another disappointing result for the Rebels. The biggest disappointment of the night seemed to be when Max found out that no-one was going for beers and hot wings because Irfaan was working the early shift the next morning.

Irfaan's hat-trick and Jess' catalogue of saves ensured that the Rebels collected maximum points, but can the Rebels repeat next game when Max, Nessie and PJ will be missing from the roster?

The Rebels' unbeaten streak came to an abrupt end this Thursday as the Saracens scored in the first half then defended resolutely for the rest of the game. With Irfaan smelling as sweet as a rose after the game, the Rebels suspected their loss was due to someone's lucky underwear being changed. At the very least the Rebels had themselves to blame as a string of missed chances spelt defeat for the Purple Machine.

A short-handed Rebels side pulled out a late win against an ever improving Warriors squad this Thursday. After a scoreless first half the Rebels finally got onto the board with a good team goal only to see the Warriors equalize quickly. Any hope for the Warriors to steal points off the high flying Rebels was short-lived however as two more Rebels' strikes kept their unbeaten streak intact.

Time for more protection?

The Rebels saw red versus the Cougars this Thursday as Gregg and Steph made trips to the emergency room after catching the ball in the nose and eyebrow respectively. With a big chunch of the game spent tending to injuries the Cougars must have been hoping for a little added time to try and even up the score, but their only goal came from a first-half penalty corner strike by Dinos' player Teryn Buna.

Three first half goals from the Rebels was enough to see off a determined Warriors team in wet conditions at the Dinos turf. The Warriors hit the post late and saved a well-struck Rebels' penalty but couldn't draw even as a light rain turned into a torrential downpour in the second half.
